Guest reviews

  • Single

    Convenient proximity to town centre.

Waited for some time before gaining access. Everywhere rather cramped - adequate for a one night stay.

  • Single

excellent service and a great nights sleep. a fantastic location and i loved the beautiful mirrors.

it was a little cramped in the room, it would have been full with 2 of us in there

  • Group of friends

Guest house very quiet, breakfast ok

We rent 3 bedrooms with "baldaquin". We are still looking for the baldaquin!! The beds were ok but the soap for the bath were scarse and one room should be advertising as a room for dwarf people (no more than 1.5 meter high!!

  • Single

Very comfortable bed, nice clean room, and the location is great as it's quite close to the station. The continental breakfast was very good value - plenty of tea, toast, cereal etc. The room was also nice and quiet which was surprising as it's on a main road and not to far from the city centre (about a mile and a half). I was pleased I chose this hotel and would stay there again.

There was no one on site when I arrived; it was quite simple to call the phone number and be told the entry code for the door, but if I hadn't had a mobile phone then I don't know what I'd have done; so for anyone considering staying here, just make sure you charge up your phone before you leave home!

  • Group of friends

Their service is quite bad. They wont consider guests' requirements. They even charge u without any notification. The position is not good as well. It is in a quite nosy street and they didnt install double window to avoide that.

This is the worst hotel that I have met.

  • Single

Very pretty and spacious room with wood laminate floor and 'oriental' rugs, pictures and venetian style mirrors, big four poster bed trimmed with white tulle, and ceiling painted blue with stars, good amenities, had tv, bedside light, own shower and toilet in separate cubicles with sink in room, good window which could be opened for fresh air, all very clean. Quiet, no noise at night. Breakfast room also pretty with table nicely set, had toast and muesli with a 'fruit corners' yogurt to put on it, plus juice and tea.

Only negatives were that shower pressure was a little low, though there was plenty of hot water.

    24 hr off street parking

Having to phone before the stay - it took 4 attempts!

  • Couple

Convenient location and reasonable price. They were very nice to us when I had to ring the bell v late at night due to my husband locking me out!

  • Couple

Room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Since when did a continental breakfast comprise of toast, orange juice, some alpen and a banana yoghurt from asda? I rate B&Bs on their breakfast and unfortunately this didnt cut it for me.

  • Family with children

Friendly welcome, attentive but not ott service level. Good local knowledge and novel rooms!

  • Couple

It was close to a leisure centre.

We arrived at 1.40pm and the room was still not ready, despite the fact that their check-in time starts at 8am. When we arrived we were asked to wait in the corridor, while the person who let us in was talking on the phone and she was a bit rude. Overall experience - 4/10. We would not recommend this place.

  • Older travelers

The friendly staff and although small, good quality

Not near enough to city centre

  • Couple

i loved the stuff which was very kind and helpful.good value for money

the location wasn't that great(quite far from the city centre)

  • Single

Good location for staying in Cambridge with the Leisure Complex and town centre not far away.

  • Single

Close proximity to the Junction, and trouble-free entry late at night. Lovely and swiftly provided breakfast of muesli, yoghurt and toast.

I felt the carpets on the stair were a little insecure. I wouldn't recommend an upstairs room to any elderly person.
